Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an experienced Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and support plasma center operations. You will assess donor eligibility, review test results, and manage adverse events under physician guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, including nursing program equivalency where applicable.
• State licensure or certification for EMTs (EMT-B/A/I/P) or nursing licensure (LPN/LVN/RN) is required.
• CPR and AED certifications are required.
• Fulfill basic IV therapy state requirements as applicable.
• Two years of clinical or hospital setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including consent, confidentiality, and testing prerequisites.
• Evaluate donor reactions and handle medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues or unclear findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health/ER incidents and follow EHS guidance.
