BioLife Plasma Services in Cordova, TN is seeking a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support donor eligibility, safety, and the plasma donation process in a fast‑paced center.

The role includes determining donor eligibility, managing donor reactions, reviewing laboratory tests, and coordinating with the Center Physician for medical decisions to ensure donor safety and quality center operations.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in the state of assignment: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing SPE.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs, with Center Physician escalation when needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; participate as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
• Ensure donor safety and center operations under medical guidance.
