Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support plasma donor safety and eligibility assessments. The role involves coordinating donor history, testing, and medical guidance within the center’s SOP framework.

You will work under supervision of Center Manager and Center Physician, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and BioLife policies while supporting EHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program equivalency.
• Current EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licensure in the state of responsibilities.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical exam, and lab review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and support medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
