Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Milwaukee is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to leverage EMT skills in a donor-care role within a plasma center. You will assess eligibility, monitor donor safety, review tests, and follow physician guidance to ensure high-quality donations.

You will participate in vaccination programs and handle donor safety using SOPs, under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and donor history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
