Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program basics.
• Current EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P licensure or certification.
• Licensed or certified in the state for EMT, LPN/LVN or RN.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, history, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies following SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unresolved findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
