Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor eligibility, monitor reactions, and coordinate with physicians for medical issues at the Aurora, CO plasma center. The role supports vaccination programs and incident management under EHS guidance.

You will operate under the Center Manager and Center Physician, with required EMT/RN/LPN licensure and CPR/AED certification. FDA training for BioLife is part of the role, and prior clinical experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibility (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Basic IV therapy state requirements fulfilled.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, consent, medical history, physical exam, SPE review.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Consult Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; escalate as needed.
• Potential Pandemic Coordinator role as authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
