Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Thornton, CO seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. You will operate under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance, ensuring compliance with plasma collection regulations.

A nursing program credential and active state licensure are required, with CPR/AED certifications and clinical experience.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and AED proficiency required.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Current licensure/certification in the responsible state (EMT/Paramedic or RN/LPN/LVN).
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and test review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical guidance or issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with occupational health/ER guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
