Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, Thornton CO, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review SPE results and notify donors of unsuitable findings, under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

You will contribute to regulatory compliance, support vaccination programs and ensure donor safety in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; nursing program graduate per state requirements.
• Licensed/certified EMT-Paramedic in the responsibility state.
• CPR and AED certification are required.
• Fulfill state requirements for IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage adverse events at the center.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support donor safety and arrange medical care when needed.
• Assist with EHS programs and vaccination initiatives as applicable.
