Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Portland, OR seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.

You work under Center Manager guidance and Center Physician oversight to ensure compliance and donor safety. Qualifications include EMT-B/A/I/P licenses or RN/LPN, CPR/AED, and at least two years in clinical settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state nursing program equivalency.
• Current EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P license or RN/LPN certification.
• CPR and AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review serological test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support center physician guidance for donor safety and eligibility.
