Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Washington state seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings, under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with licensure in EMT/LPN/RN, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state licensure requirements (EMT, LPN/LVN, or RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, and self-exclusion.
• Assess donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings.
• Coordinate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance and donor safety.
