Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks Medical Support Specialist EMTs to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety. You will operate under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance, following plasma collection regulations and BioLife Medical Affairs guidance.

Expect involvement in vaccination programs, incident management, and potential pandemic coordination, with a strong focus on patient care and center-level safety standards in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in EMT level(s) applicable to responsibilities.
• CPR and AED certification current and valid.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history, physical exam, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and advise on occupational health/EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
