BioLife Plasma Services in Birmingham, AL seeks a Medical Support Specialist - EMT to ensure donor eligibility, monitor safety, and support center operations. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, applying regulatory knowledge and clinical experience to protect donors and staff.

Required EMT licensure (EMT-B/A/I/P), CPR/AED, a nursing program credential as needed, and at least two years of clinical work.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; nursing program credential required by state.
• EMT license (EMT-B/A/I/P), LPN/LVN or RN licensed in the duty state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Meet FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical exam, and test review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs and physician standing orders.
• Refer medical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and occupational health activities.
• Coordinate incident investigations with EHS and center management.
