Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Aurora is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests, following SOPs and center policies.

Under the Center Manager and Center Physician, you will handle donor safety, adverse events, and regulatory compliance, with EHS guidance and Medical Affairs support as needed. Excellent teamwork and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the relevant state for nursing or EMS practice.
• CPR and AED certification maintained.
• Experience in clinical or hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
