Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, part of Takeda, seeks an Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor safety and assist in the plasma donation process. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support the center team under medical supervision.

Responsibilities include managing donor reactions, coordinating with physicians, and assisting with vaccination programs and environmental health and safety at the center.

Qualifications

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and physical exams.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage incidents per EHS guidance and occupational health procedures.
• May serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility; manage informed consent and donor history.
• Assess donor reactions and coordinate with medical staff for emergencies.
• Communicate test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support EHS, vaccination programs, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with Center Manager and Medical Affairs as needed.
