Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, review test results, and support donor safety in a high-quality plasma collection environment. You’ll work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance, applying regulatory knowledge and EMS skills to ensure donor well-being.

You’ll participate in ongoing safety initiatives, vaccination programs, and incident management, contributing to a rigorous, patient-focused operation within Takeda’s

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; EMT licensure in the applicable state.
• Current EMT certification(s) (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or RN/LPN license.
• CPR and AED certification; ability to manage donor safety and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, donor history, and physical examinations.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer complex medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health initiatives for employees.
• Manage incidents and coordinate with EHS for safety and reporting.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and assist investigations.
