Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks an Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility and monitor safety in the plasma donation process. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant operations and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include evaluating donor history, managing adverse events, reviewing lab results, and communicating outcomes to donors while supporting environmental, health and safety programs.

Qualifications

• EMT certification and medical knowledge relevant to donor screening and safety.
• CPR and AED certification required for medical emergencies.
• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred and required regulatory familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and informed consent; review history, exam and tests.
• Manage donor adverse events per SOPs and center policies.
• Refer complex findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) for employees.
• Handle occupational health/ER incidents with EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
