Job summary

AmeriPro Health is seeking a supervisor to oversee daily EMS field operations in the absence of senior management. This role ensures zone coverage, equipment readiness, and acts as a liaison with Training, CQI, Payroll, HR, Billing, and Communications.

The position helps maintain scheduling, training records, and supply levels, while ensuring compliance with patient care protocols and state requirements. A six-month introductory probation applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years EMS field experience preferred.
• Certified Paramedic, ACLS, and BLS; preferred certifications in bPPC/PALS, PHTLS/BTLS.
• Valid state drivers license.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Basic computer literacy including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day field operation employees in the absence of senior management.
• Ensures field employees have the required equipment to perform the essential functions of their assigned duties.
• Serves as liaison for field staff to other departments (Training, CQI, Payroll, HR, Billing, Communication).
• Prepares appropriate involving mechanical breakdowns, accident investigations, exposures, daily shift activities and other incidents that may occur.
• Responsible for maintaining daily schedule and discrepancies.
• Maintains appropriate training records, maintenance records, and any required state-specific records.
• Responsible for ensuring all units have adequate supplies and that supplies are ordered.
• Ensures assigned employees consistently adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines, directives and standards.
• Ensures Patient Care Protocols are adhered to.
• Assist the Director in evaluating performance and maintaining attendance records.
• Supervisors and monitors the deployment and efficiency of the established system.
• Shall perform duties outlined in the Paramedic Job Description as required.
• Respond to the scene of calls with crews and coordinate ambulance transport in Mass Casualty Incidents.
