Job summary

School of EMS is seeking an Adjunct Lab Instructor to provide high-quality skills instruction and live scenario facilitation during lab sessions. The role supports the school's mission and collaborates with the primary instructor and leadership to enforce policies and ensure student progress.

The instructor will grade students on psychomotor and affective abilities, follow the lab plan, and participate in meetings and training. Travel may be required, and professional conduct is emphasized.

Qualifications

  • Must hold State paramedic or EMT license in good standing.
  • Two years of prehospital system experience at instructing level.
  • Completion of School of EMS Instructor Orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Provides live skills and scenario instruction during lab classes.
  • Supports the mission, vision, and values of the school to outside agencies.
  • Works with the primary instructor and SOE leadership in enforcing student policies.
  • Attends team meetings and annual training.
  • Grades students on psychomotor and affective abilities per syllabus.
  • Follows the scheduled lab plan; reports progress and participates in debriefs.
  • Conducts themselves appropriately, especially if travelling.
