Job summary

School of EMS is seeking an Adjunct Lab Instructor to provide high-quality skills instruction and scenario facilitation during live EMS lab sessions. You will support the mission and values, work with the primary instructor and SOE leadership to ensure student compliance with policies, and participate in debriefs.

The role requires state paramedic or EMT licensure, completion of instructor orientation, and the ability to communicate clearly, work with groups, and handle equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Must meet state instructor requirements for EMS teaching.
• 2 years in a prehospital system at the level instructing.
• Instructor Orientation completion required before instructing students.

Responsibilities

• Provides live skills and scenario instruction during lab classes.
• Supports the mission, vision, and values of School of EMS for external agencies.
• Works closely with the primary instructor and SOE leadership enforcing student compliance with policies and procedures.
• Attends occasional team meetings and annual training.
• Grades students on psychomotor and affective abilities according to the syllabus.
• Follows the scheduled lab plan.
• Reports on student progress and participates in debriefs.
• Conducts themselves appropriately, especially if traveling.
