Job summary

School of EMS in Baton Rouge seeks an Adjunct Lab Instructor to provide high-quality skills instruction and facilitate live scenarios in lab sessions. The role supports the school’s mission and collaborates with the primary instructor and leadership to enforce policies and ensure learning outcomes.

The instructor will grade psychomotor and affective performance, follow the lab plan, and participate in debriefs and occasional meetings. State EMS licensure and onboarding are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a prehospital system at the level instructing.
• Must complete the School of EMS Instructor Orientation.
• State paramedic or EMT license in good standing.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret education-related material.

Responsibilities

• Provides live skills and scenario instruction during lab classes.
• Supports mission, vision and values of the school to outside agencies.
• Works with the primary instructor and SOE leadership to enforce student policies.
• Attends team meetings and annual training.
• Grades students on psychomotor and affective abilities.
• Follows the scheduled lab plan and reports student progress.
