Guilford County EMS Department seeks a skilled instructor to supervise and direct the delivery of emergency and non-emergency services, serve as field trainer, and lead the orientation for new EMS personnel. You will mentor, train, and evaluate staff while supporting certification and licensing requirements.

As a credentialed Paramedic, you will work in emergencies, provide field instruction, and help shape continuing education and competency improvement across the workforce.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of Paramedic National Curriculum for education.
• Knowledge of Guilford County Personnel Regulations.
• Knowledge of Guilford County EMS Departmental Policies.
• Knowledge of NCCEP policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Knowledge of NCOEMS Rules and Regulations.
• Knowledge of State and Federal Rules and Regulations (OSHA, HIPAA-Privacy, and other regulatory, standard, or policy deemed applicable or appropriate).
• General Paramedic knowledge; patient care and documentation.
• Knowledge of interpersonal communication principles and adult learning practices.
• Ability to effectively engage, instruct, and provide feedback to adult learners.
• HazWoper or equivalent training.

Aufgaben

• Responsible for assisting with the orientation process for all new EMS personnel.
• Responsible for assessment and improvement of competency for EMS personnel in progression phases.
• Conducts daily performance feedback and documentation of all new and progressing employees.
• Assists with continuing education and field training with personnel at all levels of function as required.
• Assists with the identification of performance deficits, remediation, and/or resolution of other training issues
• Assists with continuous quality improvement of the field training and evaluation programs.
• Performs all duties of a Paramedic
