Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an EMS Programs Coordinator in Richmond to develop, coordinate, and oversee EMS education programs. You will lead instructors, deliver AHA courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS), and ensure compliance with state regulations and national standards.

The role requires 5+ years EMS field experience, Virginia EMT/Paramedic certification, and EC certification, with the possibility of coordinating internships and allied training initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• Virginia EMT or Paramedic certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years EMS field experience.
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS CPR certifications by AHA.
• EVOC certification with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Experience in program coordination, training, quality improvement, or project management.
• Current Virginia EMS Education Coordinator certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructor for EMS educational programs.
• Instruct and evaluate students in classroom and practical settings.
• Deliver AHA courses including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other curricula.
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and exercises aligned to objectives.
• Monitor student performance; provide coaching and remediation as needed.
• Maintain course documentation, attendance, testing, and certification records.
• Ensure programs comply with state EMS regulations and NEMS Education Standards.
• Support accreditation and growth of EMS education programs, including Paramedic Program development.
• Coordinate clinical, field internship, and ride-along experiences.
• Collaborate with Regional Training Coordinators to identify needs and priorities.
• Support recruitment and workforce development efforts for EMS students.
• May staff an ambulance as needed for operations and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
