Job summary

Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management is seeking an EMS Instructor to develop and deliver prehospital training, assist with hands-on instruction, and support community outreach in Wisconsin.

The role requires Wisconsin residency, a WI Paramedic license, and 2+ years EMS experience, with a valid driver's license and ability to travel about 75% of the time. ACLS/BLS/PALS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin resident at time of application.
• WI Paramedic license and MC LCA eligible.
• 2+ years Paramedicine/EMS experience.
• Valid driver's license (state of residence).
• Travel approximately 75% of work time.
• AHA/ARC ACLS (ALS), BLS, PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Develop content, review with medical direction, and deliver to EMS partners.
• Operate Paramedic level educational fly cars as directed by OEM leadership.
• Represent the organization at public events, health fairs, and safety initiatives.
• Assist with instructor/class records, issuing cards, and answering ARC policy questions.
• Participate in EMS team development and continuing education as assigned.
• Take on projects as directed by OEM leadership.
