Qualifications

  • Education or Certification(s) or industry experience in EMS or related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience in EMS or related field.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations.
  • Principles and practices of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Current trends, research and development in EMS.

Responsibilities

  • Design learning strategies for students in both curriculum and continuing education.
  • Deliver instructional materials provided by OEMS.
  • Plan, direct, and participate in EMS program instruction.
  • Develop materials, tests, and exercises to supplement instruction.
  • Enhance learning and critique program goals through discussion and feedback.
  • Monitor and evaluate course delivery methods and workload; identify improvements.
  • Develop and abide by course syllabi; maintain records and evaluations.
  • Coordinate with partners and student services to implement EMS admission, progression, certification, and graduation policies.
