Cleveland Community College seeks an experienced EMS instructor to deliver accredited EMS courses across campus settings, including classroom, lab, simulations, and clinicals.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in EMS, current NC Paramedic credential, and NC OEMS Level I Paramedic Instructor credential (or able to obtain within one year), with 5+ years EMS field experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in EMS or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic credential.
• Current NC OEMS Level I Paramedic Instructor credential (or within one year).
• 5+ years’ EMS field experience as a Paramedic.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill instructional responsibilities and maintain posted office hours.
• Ensure each class includes essential curricular components and EMS standards.
• Teach EMS courses across classroom, lab, simulation, online/hybrid, clinical, field settings.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback, remediation, and documentation.
• Maintain professional communication with students and college partners.
• Use instructional technology and EMS resources to enhance learning.
• Ensure safety and readiness of EMS instructional areas and equipment.
• Participate in program evaluation, accreditation activities, and CQI.
• Contribute to committees and college activities as assigned.
