Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; EMS/dispatch experience preferred.
• Capable of reading and writing English and communicating clearly.
• Able to record, transmit and report information accurately.
• Experience with EMS dispatch protocols and radio/telephone operations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services.
• Assign and route transportation requests and relay information to appropriate units.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and data entry for each shift.
• Generate reports and verify data accuracy for shift records.
• Locate incident scenes and determine fastest, safest routes using locator aids.
• Stay current with company policies and dispatched protocols.
• Operate equipment including 911 systems, computers, printers and phones.
