Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimal medical training or telecommunications experience or at least one year's EMS/public safety dispatcher experience.
• Able to read and write English clearly.
• Ability to communicate via radio and telephone.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services.
• Allocate EMS resources using approved protocols and decision-making rules.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of paperwork before shift end.
• Enter data accurately in shift reports and state run report systems.
• Generate and verify applicable reports for accuracy.
• Assist in locating incident scenes and determining fastest safe routes.
• Relay instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
