Qualifications

• 1 year of EMS or public safety dispatcher experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read and write English.
• Clear radio and telephone communication skills.
• Accurate data entry and reporting.
• Typing speed and accuracy.
• Ability to use basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs accordingly.
• Understands and adequately implements Emergency Medical Dispatch concepts.
• Allocates EMS resources per protocols.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and accurate before shift end.
• Accurate data entry for the shift, including State Run Report data entry.
• Generate applicable reports and verify accuracy.
• Locate incident scenes and determine safest routes.
• Relay instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Follow established reception formats for service requests.
• Operate equipment (computer, printers, 911 equipment, recording devices, phones).
• Adhere to company policies and contribute to ongoing professional development.
