Job summary

AmeriPro Health LLC is seeking a Communications Specialist to receive and process emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests, enter calls into CAD, and relay essential details to Dispatchers. The role uses the approved EMD process for applicable 911 calls and requires accurate data capture and privacy compliance.

You will participate in ongoing training, handle IFT/EMD intake, and work in a fast-paced environment to support life-saving responses and efficient operational flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months in customer service or direct customer contact.
• Minimum six months call center experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to pass EM D program within 1–3 months of hire and maintain certification.
• Proficiency in CAD systems or strong aptitude to learn related tech.
• Strong typing skills and data entry experience.
• Clear English communication and comprehension of instructions.
• Excellent organization and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency, non-emergency, and interfacility transport calls promptly.
• Obtain and verify call location, patient info, callback data, and service details.
• Enter complete information into CAD and update as needed.
• Use approved EMD protocol for applicable 911 calls.
• Escalate when protocols or situations require escalation.
• Identify IFT priorities and service levels using approved procedures.
• Communicate updates to Dispatcher and team without delay.
• Handle calls delivered by telephone, CAD-to-CAD, or other intake systems.
• Maintain awareness of calls holding and provide updates to facilities.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow privacy requirements.
• Document unusual circumstances or escalations and notify leadership.
• Participate in training, QA, and ongoing coaching.
