Job summary

Tenet Healthcare seeks a Physician Clinical Systems Specialist to serve as an EMR expert, training clinicians on Cerner and delivering hands-on support across the hospital. The role includes aiding EMR implementation, ongoing optimization, and creating education content for clinicians and providers.

The incumbent will perform purposeful rounding and collaborate with the Market Clinical Informatics Director to improve satisfaction and IS service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience in a clinical hospital setting.
• Ability to develop, maintain and collaborate with clinicians.
• Ability to problem-solving and resolve conflict.
• Understands clinical workflow and has the skill set to integrate technology into clinical practice.
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills required.
• Must serve as a model of credibility, professionalism, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Train clinicians to efficiently use the Cerner EMR and provide elbow support to clinicians throughout the hospital.
• Assist in EMR implementation, support, and optimization.
• Provide purposeful hospital rounding and direct support to providers and nurses to integrate EMR into clinical workflow.
• Create education content to communicate EMR changes, initiatives, and projects.
• Collaborate with the Market Clinical Informatics Director to improve physician and clinician satisfaction with the EMR.
