Job summary
Parrish Medical Center in Titusville is seeking an EMR Support Specialist to ensure the integrity of the EMR and to serve as the HIM super-user for applicable applications. You will monitor scanned document quality, audit records for proper use, and support forms management across the system.
The role involves compiling data from multiple sources for stakeholders, coordinating the forms program, and supporting HIM applications, EMR workflows, coding, and CDI activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; HIM, IT, Informatics or related healthcare technology field preferred.
- 2-3 years of healthcare data analysis, decision support, reporting, or HIM/IT experience.
- RHIT/RHIA or AHIMA credential preferred or approved by HR/HIM.
Responsibilities
- Create reports and validate data to support decision making.
- Design tools to track HIM performance, quality, and productivity metrics.
- Compile charts for external review and quality reporting.
- Manage forms repository; troubleshoot FormFast issues with vendor coordination.
- Perform QA of scanned documents and support HIM operations as needed.
- Assist with EMR, HIM, coding (CDI) applications and project planning.
