Job summary

e4health in the United States seeks a HIM Scanning & Indexing Analyst to support scanning, indexing, and EMR workflows. You will ensure documents are accurately scanned, indexed, quality-checked, and accessible in the patient record.

The ideal candidate has hands-on HIM scanning/indexing experience in a hospital or health system, with Cerner experience preferred and a strong commitment to HIPAA and data quality.

Qualifications

• HIM scanning and indexing experience required.
• Involves hospital/health system HIM environment work.
• Understanding of medical record types, indexing standards, and workflows.
• Experience with quality control and indexing error resolution.
• Strong detail orientation for high-volume documentation.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and with IT/clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform scanning, indexing, and document management in HIM.
• Index documents with patient identifiers, types, and dates.
• Conduct quality checks for legibility and correct indexing.
• Resolve scanning, indexing, and document-quality issues.
• Collaborate with HIM, clinical, and IT teams to fix problems.
• Assist with migrations, backlogs, and system validation testing.
• Maintain accuracy and protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
