Job summary

Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center is seeking an HIM Data Integrity Technician to maintain the EMPI and ensure data integrity in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). You will act as front line support for the Health Information Management Department and related clinical and non-clinical areas.

Responsibilities include researching and remediating duplicate MRNs, coordinating with departments on MRN changes, and supporting the HIE and patient portal.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years in Health Information Management or patient registration/billing in a health care facility.
• Solid computer skills using Microsoft applications and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain EMPI and EHR data integrity.
• Research and remediate duplicate MRNs and potential overlays.
• Coordinate MRN changes with HIM, clinical and ancillary departments.
• Support Health Information Exchange (HIE) and patient portal in relation to the EMPI.
