Job summary
Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Developmental Specialist to support individuals with mental health or developmental needs. You will assess hopes and goals, foster community connections, and help participants engage fully in daily life with person-centered supports.
The role may require sleepovers and weekend coverage, with transportation assistance and strong emphasis on rights protection and advocacy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid USA driver’s license.
- Experience with mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Assess and support individuals in pursuing personal goals and dreams.
- Help develop community relationships and natural supports.
- Assist with daily living activities and transportation as needed.
- Ensure rights and advocacy for individuals receiving services.
- Maintain documentation including progress notes, goals, and incident reports.
- Provide safety training and emergency procedure knowledge.
