Job summary

Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina seeks a Developmental Specialist to support individuals with mental health needs and disabilities. You will assess hopes and goals, help build community connections, and assist with daily living activities in a home-like setting.

Overnight sleepovers may be required and ongoing staff training is provided. The role emphasizes person-centered support, advocacy, and adherence to program policies, with documentation and safety as priorities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with populations with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.
• Valid driver’s license (USA).

Responsibilities

• Assess people’s hopes and goals and provide supports to achieve them.
• Support people in developing community relationships and natural supports.
• Assist with day-to-day living activities (housekeeping, meals, laundry).
• Provide transportation to people served as required.
• Document progress notes, goals, incidents, and timesheets.
• Ensure rights and safety and participate in planning processes.
