Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support Elementary School students in our learning center and classroom settings. You will lead instruction for students with IEPs, design engaging lessons, and collaborate with staff to align with state standards.

You will implement differentiated instruction, PBIS, and data-driven progress reporting while managing caseloads and developing detailed lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• IL professional educator credential (PEL) in progress or current.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress or current.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction and co‑teaching where appropriate.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Track progress and maintain student files and reports.
• Collaborate with staff to implement PBIS and engaging curricula.
