Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an Elementary Education setting. You will design personalized learning experiences, deliver targeted instruction, and align activities with state standards within learning centers or classrooms.

Responsibilities include implementing PBIS, coordinating with families and staff, and maintaining comprehensive IEP records while promoting inclusive practices for diverse learners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, special education, or a related field.
• Licensed or in process of obtaining IL professional educator credentials.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and create lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Implement PBIS strategies and track student progress.
• Collaborate with staff to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners.
• Maintain IEP documentation and prepare detailed reports.
• Engage families and uphold a safe, organized classroom environment.
• Participate in ongoing professional growth and duties as assigned.
