Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional planning for Elementary School students with IEPs, delivering differentiated instruction in a learning environment that supports PBIS and collaboration with staff.

You will develop personalized lesson plans, integrate educational software, and align practices with state standards, while managing a caseload and documenting progress for ongoing student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, special education or related field.
• Credentialing in IL required or in process (PEL, SSE or LBS1).
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation in alternative/special education settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in co‑teaching settings.
• Develop individualized lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Track progress and maintain student records and reports.
• Utilize PBIS strategies to support behavior and learning.
