Job summary

Candor is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to empower students and schools. You’ll collaborate with ARD teams to create and implement IEPs, and deliver differentiated instruction in inclusion and resource settings to meet diverse needs.

You’ll monitor progress with data, work with teams and families, and implement behavior plans to support a positive learning environment. Competitive pay starts at $40/hour with flexible full-time/part-time/as-needed roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Texas Educator Certification in Special Education (EC-12) through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
• Knowledge of IDEA and familiarity with ARD process; CPR certification preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with the ARD committee.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in inclusion and resource rooms.
• Monitor progress with data to ensure IEP goals are met.
• Collaborate with general ed teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
