Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team. You will follow the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist, perform treated exercises, and educate patients and families to improve well-being.

This role supports weekend rotations, requires a current PT license, and offers a comprehensive benefits package, with a per-visit and hourly pay structure that reflects productivity and market conditions.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care PT, work under supervising PT, and adjust plan of care as advised.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the PT, nurse, or physician.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and educate patient and family.
• Work effectively in diverse home environments.
