Job summary

Devereux in Ringwood, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals in our day program stay safe, healthy and engaged while building daily living skills.

Starting salary is $20.42 per hour and increases with education and experience. Benefits begin after 30 days, including medical, dental and tuition assistance; a collaborative team environment guided by Servant Leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation.
• Empathetic with a team-based approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Oversee planning, implementation and documentation of programs for social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
