Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join a dedicated team supporting individuals in day programs in Hardyston, NJ. Starting salary is $20.42/hour with increases based on education and experience. Orientation consists of 10 paid days on-site, and benefits begin after 30 days of employment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to promote safety, daily living skills, and community participation for individuals served, while transporting them to activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid non-provisional driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years or older and complete orientation.
• Empathetic with a team-based approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy during the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist with daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet needs.
• Plan/participate in community jobs, volunteering, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
