Job summary

Devereux, a national nonprofit providing behavioral healthcare, is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Somers Point, NJ. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals in daily living skills and community activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Be empathetic with a team approach to care for our individuals.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in achieving daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet individuals' social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for our individuals to be involved with.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
