Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Williamston, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for part-time afternoon/evening shifts and some weekends to support individuals with IDD in their homes and communities. You will assist with everyday tasks, care duties, transportation, schedule planning, and maintain daily documentation in the electronic health record.

No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based care to individuals with IDD.
• Assist with daily tasks such as housekeeping, meal prep, dressing and personal care.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize daily schedules.
• Document and report in the electronic health record system daily.
