Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks and goal achievement. The role involves in-home and community support, including meal prep, personal care, and transportation, with documentation in the health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety knowledge expected.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the client's home and local community.
• Assist with daily tasks, meals, personal care, and transportation when needed.
• Help plan and organize the client’s schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record.
