Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Williamston, NC and surrounding areas. You will assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks, support employment goals, and document care in the electronic health system.

You will work afternoons/evenings and some weekends, with travel in the local community. Experience is not required, on-the-job training is provided, and CPR/first-aid training is offered.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training is provided.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and in the community they live in.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care like bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize the client's schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.
