Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in home and community settings in Elizabeth City, NC. The role involves part-time afternoon/evening hours and some weekends, with on-the-job training provided.

You will help with daily living tasks, personal care, meal prep, housekeeping, and transportation to appointments, while maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health system.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training.
• Requires basic housekeeping, nutrition awareness, and safety protocols.
• Must have reliable transportation and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based care to individuals with IDD.
• Assist with daily tasks: housekeeping, meals, personal care, and scheduling.
• Transport client to appointments and errands as needed.
• Document daily activities in the health record system.
