Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Williamston, NC seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks in their homes and community settings. Afternoon/evening shifts and some weekends are required.

You will support with housekeeping, meals, personal care, documentation, and transportation, while building meaningful relationships and promoting independence. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and current auto insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community-based care to individuals.
• Assist with tasks such as housekeeping, meal prep, cooking, and cleaning; personal care.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize daily schedules.
• Document daily activities in the electronic health record.
