Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in North Carolina is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks and goal achievement. This full-time role involves providing care in clients' homes and the community, with local travel between Cedar Point and surrounding areas.

You will help with housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, transportation to appointments, and daily documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided.
• Knowledge in basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.
