Job summary

Hope Network BHSE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for full-time 2nd shift in Michigan. The DSP will support individuals in daily living, community integration, and personal care, promoting independence and safety.

Responsibilities include fostering collaboration with care teams, monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and coordinating community involvement and employment goals. Shift options include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver's license required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to become CPR/First Aid certified.
• Shift: Full-Time or Part-Time; includes weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety 24/7 through eyes-on or checks.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention and resolution.
• Establish trustful, empathetic communication with individuals served.
• Foster partnerships with individuals, community and professionals.
• Help individuals identify and participate in social and leisure activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, meal prep).
• Monitor medical vitals and relay information to care team.
• Assist with medical/behavioral/clinical care plans and documentation.
• Connect individuals with community opportunities and employment goals.
